The Bear Pit was founded with the purpose of bringing together the many artistic groups, visual and performing, amateur and professional based in Stratford upon Avon. Our historic town attracts many artists to the area and we feel that by collaborating, promoting and supporting each other, we can encourage the arts to flourish.

Promoting: For the last two years we have brought all the societies together for an Arts Showcase. It is an opportunity for the public to sample and enjoy some of the many superb talents available to them.

This year’s Showcase will take place at the Civic Hall, in Stratford upon Avon between Friday 12 Sunday 14 March.

Supporting: The Bear Pit is also a lobby group, giving a voice to the local Arts, addressing their needs and putting forward their point of view to interested groups, local companies and funding bodies.
