Our theatre is situated in the heart of historic Stratford-upon-Avon opposite the Rother Street Market.

By car
Stratford-upon-Avon is a short drive from Junction 15 of the M40, giving good access to the M42, M5, M6 and M25. Our postcode is CV37 6LU.

Car parks
There is a large choice of fee-charging car parks in Stratford-upon-Avon. The closest pay and display car park is Rother Street car park and is adjacent to our venue. For more information about car parking please visit the Stratford District Council car park website

Park and Ride
Stratford’s Park and Ride service runs daily from 7.30am (from 10 am Sunday). The last Park and Ride bus leaves Wood Street at 7pm Mondays to Saturdays. For more information visit Warwickshire County Council. 

By train
You can travel directly to Stratford-upon-Avon train station from Birmingham (Snow Hill or Moor Street stations). Last train back to Birmingham, Monday – Friday, at 11.30pm. We are a 10 minute walk away from the town centre’s railway station

The last train back to London, Monday – Friday, is at 11.15pm.

Opening Times

Our venue, Box Office and Bar are open from one hour before an event.

Bar & Cafe

The Bear Pit’s bar and café is open from one hour before a performance till closing time. We offer a range of alcoholic and soft drinks, tea and coffee and crisps.

Access Information

We want to make everything we do accessible to all our audiences.

Wheelchairs
The Bear Pit Theatre is fully accessible to all wheelchair and walker users. When booking please if you require a wheelchair/walker space or an aisle seat look out for the wheelchair positions and aisle seats. The theatre has two wheelchair spaces, A6 (A5 companion seat) & A3 (A4 companion seat)

Please note that for Health & Safety reasons, if you have booked a wheelchair space you will need to remain in your wheelchair. If you wish to transfer from your wheelchair to a fixed seat, please do not book a wheelchair space.

Hearing Loop
Currently our venue does not have this facility.

Accessible Toilet
There is accessible toilet situated immediately next to the auditorium which also includes baby changing facilities. Please note that our toilet does not contain hoist systems.

Accessible Parking
There are a number of Blue Badge parking spaces in the Rother Street car park alongside on-road parking for blue badge holders on Rother Street. There is a car drop off point directly outside The Bear Pit Theatre.
