The Bear Pit Theatre schedule is fully booked for 2025 and virtually fully booked for 2026.

The Bear Pit Theatre provides a priority to scheduling for local community theatre groups and in house productions.

There are limited hire opportunities in the year once the local community groups have been scheduled. We will make every effort to accommodate requests where possible.

The Bear Pit Theatre is an intimate, versatile performance and exhibition space that can adapt to your hire. The space can be set-up as a fully functioning theatrical, music or rehearsal venue with staging, sound, lighting and a tiered seating system that can hold an audience of 109.
The venue works equally well as a light and airy exhibition space for the visual arts, a venue for seminars and other commercial functions.
Recently we have installed a projector and cinema screen with support from the Stratford Town Trust to provide a community cinema. We regularly show recently released films or classics.

Facilities available include backstage area, dressing rooms, licensed bar, WCs and kitchen facilities.

The Theatre is a non profit organisation that relies on the support of our volunteers who run every aspect of the theatre from bookings, front of house, actors, directors, stage managers, lighting technicians and set builders.
