SPARROWS IN A HAT
By Steve Farr
Love’s Last Chance
One hundred shows and counting!
More than just a story of two fifty year olds desperately seeking real love in a world that seems to have something against them, Sparrows in a Hat is a story about last chances. It deals with abuse, addiction, violent assault, Esperanto and sex. There is also quite a lot of dancing and a cheese obsession So, something for everyone here.
Two actors play five characters each, with a swivel chair and a bed.
The play will be performed in the round, this gives a more realistic and intimate feel to the piece. Due to forthcoming new seating, this will be the last play performed in the round at the Bear Pit Theatre. It will also be Second Thoughts 100th production.
Second Thoughts has performed award-winning playwright Steve Farr’s work twice before: Triple Freedom (1985) and Dried Fruit From Hell (2005).
CONTAINS SCENES OF A SEXUAL NATURE, SCENES OF VIOLENCE AND LANGUAGE WHICH SOME MAY FIND OFFENSIVE. NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE UNDER 16.
