Synopsis

A viciously funny, seriously disturbing tale about a writer in a totalitarian’ state who is interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a number of child-murders that are happening in his town.

A play by the writer of two Oscar nominated films, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, critically acclaimed film In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths and Oscar winner of his short film Six Shooter.

This pitch-black comedy receiving its world premiere in 2003 at the Royal National Theatre and starred David Tennant, Jim Broadbent, Nigel Lindsay. The play received an Olivier Award for Best New Play, the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for Best New Foreign Play, and two Tony Awards.

Contains language that some people may find offensive and scenes of a violent nature.
