‘An evening of unique French Jazz’
Described by critics as ‘tremendous’ and ‘outstanding’, Montparnasse bring a little bit of Paris to Stratford.
Fronted by Paris born singer Céline Dommart, the band breathe new life into timeless French classics by the likes of Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour and George Brassens to name but a few.
Their eclectic set also features tangos in Spanish and jazz standards in English. Many of the songs will be familiar in English but are presented here in French or Spanish – even a little bit of Italian.
Céline is backed by award winning acoustic guitarist Cris Tolley, Paul Smith on double bass and Robin Payne on drums. The band have released two EPs and been played on BBC radio.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see this unique act play at The Bear Pit Theatre for one night only.
